Show jfirst Marb By MRS. ALMA SLY The Stake Chastity Night for the Junior M-Men and fathers and the Junior Gleaners and mothers was held Tuesday, Jan. 29, in the Beaver First-Third chapel. Those attending from our ward were as follows: Mrs. Max Baxter and daughter Jon-nel, Jon-nel, Mrs. Howard Lund and daughter Bonnie, Mrs. D. L. Fowles and daughter Lois Jean, Mfs. Max Gillins and daughter Marlys, Mrs. Fred O'Leary and daughter Vanda, Misses Pat and Hazel Ann Kesler, Nancy Hill-man, Hill-man, Mrs. Afton Nielson, Mrs. Alma Sly, Mr. Dell Kesler, De-Wayne De-Wayne Myers and Vee Wads-worth. Wads-worth. Those on the program were: Vanda O'Leary, invocation; invoca-tion; the Sextette, Lois Jean Fowles, Hazel Ann Kesler, Bonnie Bon-nie Lund, Jonelle Baxter and Afton Hollis, Second Ward, sang "The Temple by the River," accompanied ac-companied by Marlys Gillins. The talk given by Mrs. Frank Williams of Minersville was so thoroughly and splendidly given we should not soon forget it. Talks by Mrs. Hettie Harris and Mrs. Mabel Smith, Young Ladies' La-dies' Stake president, were equally impressive. Songs from the Beaver and Minersville Junior Gleaners and the Gleaner Glean-er Sheaf by Miss Merkley of Beaver, and the Junior Gleaner Symbolism by Zelda Merryweather Merry-weather of Milford Second Ward were greatly enjoyed. The invocation was by Miss Brad-field Brad-field of Minersville. Sunday night, Feb. 3, in the First Ward, Eddie Tomsik, Ra-Nae Ra-Nae Norton, Marion Lyman and Kathleen Truex gave the origin of the Children's Hospital, and encouraged the help of everyone every-one to maintain it thru the do natio nof birthday pennies, one for each birthday, "more if you can." All children are reminded of our Valentine Dance, Feb. 14 at 3:45 p. m. Come have a good time fish pond, punch and popcorn balls to buy. Learn to dance. |
