Show Society Clubs Mrs. Patricia Williams. Editor Phone 150 TUESDAY, Jan. 29th, a bundle bun-dle shower was given for Mrs. Virginia Bedingfield by the Lady Rosarians at the home of Mrs. O. R. Smith. Members on the committee were Mrs. Peggy Sullivan, Mrs. Naomi Vollhard, and Mrs. Smith. Prizes at pinochle were won by Jane Gillies, Edith Wisner, ; Naomi Vollhard and Mrs. O. R. ! Smith. I Refreshments were served, after which Mrs. Bedingfield opened her lovely gifts, presented present-ed by Barbara McGinn, Jerry Memmott, Lou Yither, Theressa Pitchforth, Jean Hanley, Margie j "McDermott, an invited guest, ' Lois Hollis ,and the hostesses. MRS. FLOSSIE RICKERSON entertained her bridge club on Thursday, Jan. 31. Mrs. Rick-erson Rick-erson served creamed pie and coffee before cards. Those winning prizes were MR. AND MRS. KENNETH HOLLIS announce the approaching ap-proaching marriage of their daughter, Carol Jean, to Mr. Charles D. Bingham, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Bingham. Tho ceremony will be performed on Saturday, Feb. 16th, at the Hollis Hol-lis home, and will be followed by a reception for the newly-weds. newly-weds. Miss Hollis was graduated from the Milford High school with the class of 1950, and has been employed at the J. C. Penney Pen-ney store in Milford. Mr. Bingham graduated from MHford High in 1 944, v and in 1946 began an 18-month enlistment enlist-ment in the U S Army .serving part of this time in Korea. He reenlisted in 1950, and was discharged dis-charged in 1951. Since returning return-ing home he has been employed at the Jefferson Mercantile Co. The couple plan to make their home in Southern California. Mrs. Theressa Pitchforth, Mrs. Stella Persons, Mrs. LaReta Worthen, and Mrs. Helen Leech. Others who enjoyed the evening eve-ning were Mrs. Hazel Baxter and Mrs. Nina Bingham. A GOING - AWAY PARTY given by the V F W Auxiliary honored Mrs. Norma Walters, on Friday, Feb. 1. Mrs. Walters is leaving with her husband to make their home in Cedar City. The Auxiliray presented Mrs. Walters with an appropriate gift and expressions of regret were extended by the 18 members present. Monte Carlo Whist was played, prizes going to Mrs. Theressa Pitchforth, Mrs. Lucille Lu-cille Raines and Mrs. Lillian At-kin. At-kin. MRS. S. E. PITCHFORTH served a Spanish rice dinner to the following Rosarians of St. Bridget's Church, and their partners, part-ners, last week, the occasion being be-ing the wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Pitchforth: Mr. and Mrs. O. R. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Don Wisner, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gillies, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Gil-bert McGinn, Mrs. John Hanley and Mrs. Jerrpld McDermott. MRS. NEIL HOLLIS and Mrs. Van Memmott honored Mrs. Floyd Beddingfield at a pink and blue shower last Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Hollis. Ladies presenting Mrs. Beddingfield Bed-dingfield with lovely gifts were Mrs. John Vollhard, Mrs. Vernon Ver-non Gronning, Mrs. Bill Dawson, Daw-son, Mrs. James Pasborg, Mrs. LeRoy Shields, Mrs. Mitchell White, Mrs. Dave Morris, Mrs. Frank Sullivan, Mrs. Leo Har-ton, Har-ton, Mrs. Lee Eyre, Mrs. James E. Price, and the hostesses. Pinochle was the evening's entertainment, with Mrs. Morris, Mor-ris, Mrs. Shields, Mrs. Vollhard, Mrs. Beddingfield and Mrs. Pasborg Pas-borg winning the prizes. ALICE COOK celebrated her fourteenth birth anniversary on Jan. 26th. A party was given at her home, with the following friends wishing her a happy birthday and enjoying the aft- ! ernoon: Patsy and Karen Walk- ' er of Cedar City, Janice Lynn, Shirley Tomsik, Patricia Gronning, Gron-ning, Helen Lyman, Patsy ; James, Shirleen Myers, Dorothj; j Blake, Saraleen Arnold, Nancy Mellor, Sharon Christensen and sister Ethel Cook. Punch, ice cream and cake ! were served after the evening I of games. J THE UNION PACIFIC Junior i Old Timers Club Ncn 19 of Mil-I Mil-I ford, the ladies auxiliary, and friends and guests enjoyed a ' pleasant get-together last Friday evening. Dancing and visiting filled the early part of the evening, eve-ning, after which box lunches were auctioned off to the members mem-bers present. A BUNDLE shower was given last week at the home of Mrs. Helene Pasborg, honoring Mrs. Mitchell White. Mrs. Kitty Ken-ney Ken-ney and Mrs. Dora Mitchell assisted as-sisted the hostess. Other ladies enjoying the evening eve-ning were Mrs. Hilda Shields, Mrs. Jean Butler, Mrs. Inez Steinfels and Mrs. Virginia Beddingfield. Bed-dingfield. Pinochle was played, with Mrs. Shields, Mrs. Steinfels and Mrs. Bedingfield receiving the prizes. |
