Show first Marb By MRS. ALMA SLY Sunday School and Testimony ! mcet'ng were combined Sunday morning. There was class pro-' pro-' motion and also a baby named. Brent Clayton Aagard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer L. Aagard, was named by Edgar C. Edwards. Ed-wards. The Book of Mormon class was held at Mr. and Mrs. Sheril Nichols. Mrs. Nichols served hot chili and punch to nine members. The next meeting will be at the home of Mrs. Anis Openshaw. The Genealogical Committee was in charge of Sunday evening ' service. It was carried out as I follows: Harvey A. Dean and j Z. P. Draper had the program under direction. Seminary Sextet, Sex-tet, consisting of Bonnie Lund, Jonelle Baxter, Lois Fowles, Hazel Kesler, Afton Hollis and Jeanette Stoker, accompanied by Aaron Hansen. Talks on the Eternal Family by Pat Kesler, Letha Loveland and Max Abbott. Ab-bott. A saxophone solo, "Beau- tiful Home," by Rusell Sly, ac-j ac-j companied by Mr. Hansen. In-j In-j vocation and benediction, Z. P. ) Draper and Carl Goodwin. ! The MIA held their monthly I preparation meeting Tuesday, j Jan. 8, at the home of Mr. and j Mrs. Dick Banks. Plans and discussions were presented to a I good turnout of officers and teachers who all stayed to the party for Mr. and Mrs. Duard i Nay. 1 Jan. 23 the First Ward will 1 present the annual Gold and Green Ball. Further announce- ' ment will be made next week. Tuesday evening, Jan. 8, a I very commendable evening was spent in the Richard Banks home. The MIA officers, teachers teach-ers and partners gave a "Going Away" party for Duard Nay, the j Young Men's Mutual president, who has been called to the . armed forces.
