Show Mrs. Charles Beard received word of the birth of her first grandchild, born Dec. 27th to Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Beard at Biloxi, Miss. The little Miss weighed 7 lbs, 6 oz. Henry Schoo left Jan. 1 to return re-turn to his studies at the Montana Mon-tana School of Mines after spending the holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Schoo. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Winn spent two weeks in Old Mexico and visiting Mr. Winn's brothers broth-ers in California. Mr. and Mrs. Dolph Garzand and family and Jim and JoAnn Jones, and Ida Joe, were weekend week-end visitors at the home of Bishop and Mrs. E. R. Jones. Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Koch spent New Year's Day with their daughter and family, Mr. and j Mrs .Howard Cook, in South i Milford. Thorpe Waddingham was in town this week, visiting friends before opening a law office. Thorpe was all smiles after receiving re-ceiving notification that he had successfully passed the State Bar examination. N. Councilman and Mrs. Russel Mayer and Mrs. Mayer's mother, Mrs. Katie Olschlager, enjoyed a vacation trip over the holidays, holi-days, visting in Seattle and oth- j er parts of the Northwest, and returning home via California, i where they visited Mr. and Mrs. James Mayer. 1 Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Burnham j I announce the birth of male I twins in Salt Lake City on Dec. , ! 20th. ' Ben Price has returned to- his assignment at Camp Cooke, Cal., after spending his furlough time with his wife in Milford. Mr. and Mrs. Chris Nolan, Cal ente, and son Chris, student at the Nevada State College at Reno, were visitors at the home of Mrs. Ezra Walker, recently. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Mills spent Christmas week with Mr. and Mrs. Bud James at Fontana, Cal. They also visited in Southern California with Mrs. . Mills' brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Roy McGinty. 1 Mr. and Mrs. Bill Wunderlich and family returned from East Los Angeles last Friday after visiting in the homes of Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Tanner and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gibson. i . Mr. and Mrs. Grant Mellor and famiy wer? in Pocatello, Idaho, during the holidays. Ray and Norma Christensen and daughter left Wednesday for Salt Lake City, where they will make their home. I . I I Mrs. Janet Root and two children are in Salt Lake City, guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred McKay. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hill over the New Year holidays were Mr. and Mrs. Algene Norton of Nebraska. Ne-braska. The two couples also enjoyed a trip to Las Vegas. Mr. and Mrs. Fay Bradfield have returned from Los Angeles, An-geles, accompanied by their grandson, Butch Hegland, who will spend a few weeks in Milford. Mil-ford. Lorin Hutchings, butcher at Jeff Merc, has been confined to ' his home several days with the flu. Mrs. Edith Grimshaw enjoyed en-joyed Friday, Jan. 4th, it being her birth anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. John Grimshaw and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Christensen honored hon-ored her at a dinner, after which Mr. and Mrs. Grimshaw enjoyed the Milford-Beaver basketball game. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Johnson John-son called on the couple at the Grimshaw residence, wishing Edith a Happy Birthday. Mrs. Letha Smythe and Mrs. Metta Weston were in Las Vegas last week, attending the marriage of their niece, Miss Marilyn Crookston, daughter of Mrs. Mary Crookston, to Mr. Raymond B. Jones of Colorado. Mike Schow, 2-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Schow, received severe lacerations in his head when he fell from a chair into a glass china closet Jan. 2nd. Ten stitches were required to close the wound. |
