Show Seconb TlXHarfc - By MRS. BETH FISHER On Monday the children of the Second Ward enjoyed Halloween Hal-loween parties at Primary instead in-stead of having regular class work. The children were divided divid-ed into three groups the little ones, the middle sized ones aniJ the older ones and then had separate parties where games suitable for each age group were played. At the conclusion of the games and activities the officers and teachers treated the children to suckers and apples. A new Trekker teacher has been chosen. She is Margaret Sears of South Milford. President Ruth Lish wishes to announce that the Primary Children's Chil-dren's Friend drive will commence com-mence in the near future. At the same time there will be a census of Primary children taken. The aim this year is to place the "Friend" in at least 75 of the L. D. S. homes where there are children of Primary age. The Children's Friend is a children's magazine. Children like it and will be happy to see ii come regularly into their homes. The Primary Preparation meeting for "November will be held next Monday, Nov. 5, at . ! i,he home of Thelma Jones in South Milford. She and Ber- , niece Smith will be the hostesses. host-esses. Bishop Gronning has announced an-nounced that the . next Stake Quarterly Conference will be held in Beaver on Nov. 11. A reminder the Relief So- zaar to be on Friday, Nov. 9. The speaker at Sacrament meeting last Sunday was Elder Floyd Roberts of Beaver, who has recently returned from filling fill-ing a mission in the North Central Cen-tral States Mission. Visitors at Priesthood meeting meet-ing on Oct. 29 were Stake President Pres-ident A. Carlos Murdock and Marvin Spendlove, the assistant Stake clerk. The M. I. A. fall social was held on Oct. 30. During the evening games were played. Punch, candy and popcorn balls were sold. |
