Approximately 30 young folks were present to enjoy the hospitality of her home and the I party refreshments. Mrs. Lucille Johnson of ' Tooele was in Minersville over thp week-end to be present at the observance of her mother's birthday. Vol Marshall is on the happy birthday lit for last week. Alice Adams celebrated her birth anniversary on Tuesday. Many friends were invited to her party. N Sunday School services were j in charge of Supt. Milton Al-j brecht, with the singing con-, ducted by Victor Myers and Mrs. Shirley Carter. Opening! prayer by Merrill Jameson. Le-Ree Le-Ree Evans recited the memory gem and the 2Vz minute talks were given by Shirleen Davis and Alice Adams. The sacrament sacra-ment was administered by Karl Truman and Wayne Gillins, assisted as-sisted by Deacons Rolf Pearson, Paul Crane, Michael McKnight and David Williams. Mrs. Frieda Wood offered the closing prayer. Sunday evening Sacrament services were as follows: Counselor Coun-selor Ralph Pearson conducted the evening program. Mr,s. Melba Baker and Mrs. Phyllis Truman conducted the congregational congre-gational singing, after which Mrs. Victor. Mye;s offered the opening prayer. The sacrament was administered adminis-tered by Norman Banks and Charles Craw, assisted by Deacons Deac-ons David Williams, Paul Crane, Rolf Pearson and Goldie Adams. Mrs. Lynnea Marshall, Mrs. Charlene Heslington and Mrs. Loretta Myers each presented interesting talks. Closing prayer pray-er was by Mrs. Sifie Marshall. Relief Society meeting was held Wednesday, with President Mts. Frieda Wood conducting. Opening prayer was by Alba Gillins. The social hour lesson on Apostacy and Degeneration of ihe Church was given by' In structor Mrs. Lucy Williams. Closing prayer was by Alta v Bonner. Relief Society Conference will be held next Sunday evening. eve-ning. The Neighborhood Sewing ma Aubry of Salt Lake City; Geneice Barnson of Junction; Mrs. Lucille Johnson of Tooele, and Mrs. Mae Atkin of Beaver. She has 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Marshall enjoys a reputation repu-tation of good standing along with an enviable church record, and has been a block teacher for about 40 years. Billy Gibson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gibson fo Los Angeles, has been here enjoying the deer hunt. Mr. and Mrs. George Dalton, also of California, are here to enjoy the hunt and to visit Mr. and Mrs. Walter Dalton. Altho George suffers an allergy when staying for any length of time in this climate, nothing can dampen his spirits in returning to Minersville for1; an opportunity opportun-ity to hunt and visit with his relatives and friends. James Grant Wood, SKSH, with the U S Navy assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Princeton, Prince-ton, at Bremerton, Wash., is home visiting his family. His wife, the former Ruth Green, has remained at Beaver with her father during her husband's absence. Grant expects his release re-lease from service around the first of the year. Mrs. Patsy Hollingshead has I been confined to her bed for six months, in compliance with instructions from her physician. Patsy is grateful to anyone who can visit her and help pass the hours. Marilyn Wood, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Wood, observed ob-served her seventh birthday on Club met on Wednesday evening eve-ning at the home of Mrs. Reva Albrecht. Those present to enjoy en-joy an evening of relaxation with friendly neighbors were Mrs. Nellie Hollingshead, Mrs. Melba Baker, Mrs. Wanda Cor-bridge, Cor-bridge, Mrs. Phyllis Truman, Mrs. Athene Roberts, and Mrs. Frieda Wood. Light refreshments refresh-ments were served. Mrs. Elma Freeman and lady friend of Pioche spent several days in Minersville last week visiting her sisters, Mrs. Vera Carter and Mrs. Beulah Wood, and Mrs. Beverly Davis of Milford, Mil-ford, and other relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Newell Carter ie improving their premises with the addition of a furnace basement room and a utility porch. Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Marshall have begun the foundation of their new home. Mrs. Augusta Marshall, lifelong life-long resident of Minersville, celebrated her 61st birth anniversary anni-versary on Sunday when she presided at a family dinner to which approximately 25 persons were present. Mrs. Marshall is a daughter of the late and respected George H and Mrs. Emma Walker j Eyre, who left their children! with a heritage of which they, can bu proud. Mrs. Marshall' was married to the late Clyde Marshall, in the Salt Lake Temple. Tem-ple.
