Show CHRISTIAN SCIENCE "What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the Lord." Thi: verse (Jeremiah 23:28) provides the Golden Text for the Lesson Sermon on "Unreality" at al authorized Christian Science Churches on Sunday, Oct. 1. Another significant Biblical citation reads, "I am the Lord, thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no savior beside me" (Hosea 13:4). Mary Baker Eddy writes in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, "As God Himself Him-self is good and is Spirit, goodness good-ness and spirituality must be :'mmortal. Their opposites, evil and matter, are mortal error, and error has no creator. If goodness and spirituality are real, evil and materiality are unreal and cannot be the outcome out-come of an infinite God, good" (p. 277). |
