Show THRILL SHOW COMING TO MILFORD HIGH 1 The only married steeplejack team in the world will present their "Steeplejack and Jill" program at the Milford Hjigh school on Monday evening, Oct. 2, at 8 p. m., it was announced today by Principal Max G. Abbott. Lee and Mary Ann Quinn, stars of the feature, present pre-sent color movie shots which make the audience gasp. In vivid detail against a backdrop of cars that look like toys and people who look like ants, they are shown doing the work for which they are famous. This youthful couple nonchalantly walk about on structures so high that just to look at the pictures pic-tures sends chills down one's spine. Following the movies, Mr. Quinn explains characteristics of steeplejack activities which cannot be shown with pictures. This unique program is climaxed cli-maxed by an actual demonstration demonstra-tion of flagpole climbing. A flagpole which reaches to the ceiling is erected on the stage, and Mary Ann climbs while. Lee explains how she does it. There will be a charge of 25c for adults and 10c for students with activity cards. The charge is a bare minimum to help offset off-set the cost of getting the program pro-gram here and is not set in an attempt to raise money. The programs are brought to Milford in hopes of furnishing the school children and townspeople towns-people with programs that are both entertaining and educational, educa-tional, Mr. Abbot said. |
