Show U. OF U. PROGRAM FEATURES TOP BRASS Opening Utah's spring musical season is the appearance of George Geo-rge London, leading American bass-baritone of the Metropolitan Opera. His performance in the Salt Lake Tabernacle at 8:15 pm. April 25, is being sponsored by the University of Utah Extension Exten-sion Division. London made his debut with the Metropolitan Opera four seasons sea-sons ago, and has already become be-come one of America's and Europe's Eur-ope's established favorites. After his debut in New York, he was hailed by several critics as one of the greatest singing actors known or remembered. During his short career, he has appeared as guest artist on major radio and television network net-work shows, including The Telephone Tele-phone Hour and The Voice of Firestone. He was born of American par-ems par-ems in Montreal Canada. As a child he moved to California and later attended Los Angeles City College. He began his singing career in church choirs and later moved to parts with small local opera companies.
