Show BINGHAM HIGH SCHOOL NEWS by Lexie Stewart STUDENT BODY OFFICERS ELECTED FOR 1955 56 Results of the student body elections held yesterday, Thursday, Thurs-day, at Bingham High are as follows: fol-lows: president, Norman Whiting; Whit-ing; vice president, Jackie Dahl-strom; Dahl-strom; secretary, Ellen Beth Thomas; Hi-Lights editor, JoAnn Murano; yearbook editor, Dolores Dolor-es Aguayo; business manager, David Cunliffe, and cheerleader, Annette Lepore. JUNIOR HIGH ELECTION . Junior High elections will be held ' next week. Two parties Crew Cuts and The Poor Souls-will Souls-will appear on the ballot. Running Run-ning on the Crew Cuts ticket are: Harold Jenkins for president, Nikkie Jimas for vice president, Marjorie Sax for secretary-treasurer, Bobby Osoro for editor and historian, Marian Murano for girls athletic manager, George Markovich for boys athletic manager; man-ager; Karen Olsen for cheerlead-pr. cheerlead-pr. Tl.irrv Parmasideris and Marie Lovat for managers. Running on the Poor Souls ticket are Bobby Davis for president, presi-dent, Elsie Stoker for vice president, presi-dent, Lynn Boren for secretary-treasurer, secretary-treasurer, Jerry Moore for editor and historian, Donna James for girls athletic manager, Joe Robertson Ro-bertson for boys athletic manager, manag-er, Sharon Peterson for cheerleader, cheer-leader, Gary Saltas and Andy Trujillo for managers. JUNIOR PROM Chosen king and queen of the Bingham High Junior Prom "Heaven on Earth" which was held last Friday night in the high school gymnasium were: Miss Cheryl Greene, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John E. Greene, and David Cunliffe, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Cunliffe. FASHION SHOW Mrs. Jones has chosen the committee com-mittee for the annual fashion show. This year the advanced students planning the show are: Ruby Mae Serassio, Joyce Olsen, Gay Armitstead, Sherry Lancaster Lancas-ter and Merry Simkins. SCHOOL PLAY The school play "The Greek Goddess" will be presented Wednesday, Wed-nesday, April 27. k Rotary Youth Conference Jimmy Carrigan, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Carrigan of Copperton Cop-perton was chosen last week to represent BHS at the annual convention con-vention of boys from various high schools in the state. The convention was the 8th annual youth conference of Salt Lake City Rotary Club. The two day affair included dinners, various meetings and tours of outstanding, outstand-ing, Salt Lake businesses. At the end of the two day meeting the Rotary Club presented scholarships scholar-ships to several of the outstanding outstand-ing boys. Jimmy reports that he had a very fine time. DISTRICT MUSIC FETE The district Music Festival will be held at Murray April 28 and 29. The bands, boys and girls choruses and solos will represent BHS in competition with other schools. Senior Class Trip The Senior class are taking a trip sponsored by the American Problems classes Friday. The trip, planned and arranged by Mr. Peterson, will be a tour of the Barbizon Lingerie factory of Provo and the steel plant. Mr. Williams and Mr. Peterson will accompany the class. BASEBALL The BHS nine has defeated Tooele 12 to 5 and Cyprus 10 to 9. Larry Stillman pitched both games. They played Murray at Bingham yesterday (Thursday). Assembly Riverton Junior high presented present-ed their traveling assembly to the Junior High Thursday.
