Show MRS. MILTON POOL PASSES AWAY Mrs. Asenath Chipman Pool, 61, died in the Milford Hospital early Friday morning, August ,19th, of' purulent meningitis. Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon from the Milford Ward LDS Chapel, under the direction of Bishop George C. Goodwin. Mrs. Vena Wilson gave the opening prayer at the funeral services. Gail Elmer sang "In the Garden of Tomorrow." Ru- r ' ' h A M ASENATH CHIPMAN POOL ! dolph Nielsen read the obituary. Mrs. Leffingwell played a cello I solo, and Ira M. Fisher made a brief talk. Mrs. Parley Fisher, Mrs. Carlyle Gronning, Mrs. Clyde Griffiths and Mrs. Shir-lene Shir-lene Barnes sang "Abide With Me." Bishop Goodwin made a brief talk, and Mrs. LaMar Out-zen Out-zen gave the closing prayer. The graveside services were under the direction of the Rebekah Lodge, with Bishop Goodwin dedicating the grave. A resident of Milford for more than 27 years, Mrs. Pool made a host of friends to whom she endeared herself by her cheerfulness and helpfulness. She was never known to speak disparagingly of anyone, and her desire to be of assistance to others kept her occupied in service orgajization activities. She had been a member of the Rebekahs for many ye;rs, and I besides being a past noble grand in that organization she also ; held many other offices. She was a member of the LDS Relief Society, the Silver Desert Des-ert Camp of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, she was active in the Parent-Teacher Association and for many years had been a 4 H Club leader. Mrs. Pool was born in American Amer-ican Fork,' March 30, 1888, a daughter of William Henry and Sarah Binns Chipman. She received re-ceived her early education in the American" Fork schools, and attended Brigham Young University Uni-versity and the University of Utah. On April 30, 1913,, she was married to Milton ' H. Pool. They came to Milford in July, 1922, and had lived her since. Surviving, besides her husband, hus-band, are two daughters, Mrs. Sarah Robinson of Milford and Mrs. Ruth McWhorter of Poca-tello, Poca-tello, Idaho; five sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Alice Dunk-ley, Dunk-ley, Mrs. Mary Robinson, Leonard Leon-ard Chipmaru-and Ruben Chip-man, Chip-man, all of American Fork; Mrs. Arthur Adams and Mrs. Atlantic Christensen of Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Amanda Stultz of Seattle, Wash.; and three grandchildren. |
