Show THIS WEEK IN MINERSVILLE By JOY GARDNER Mr. and Mrs. lien Cooper and family of Cedar City were the house guests of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Blackburn over the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Roberts arrived home Monday from Salt Lake, where they motored Sunday Sun-day with a load of livestock. Mr. Elmer Marshall and sons, Jeff and Ross, went to Salt Lake Monday for medical attention. Fire-Side for the Special Interest In-terest group was held at the home of Mrs. Verna Thompson, Sunday evening. Fire-Side for the younger group was held at Ann Louise Blackburn's home. Mrs. Effie Marshall was honored hon-ored on her birthday, Saturday, February 12th, by her children. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Howard How-ard Marshall, Mr. and Mrs. Karl I Truman, Mr. and Mrs. Lee I Gressman, Mr. and Mrs. Ross I Marshall, Mr. and Mrs. Faye ! Marshall and Aldene Marshall. A very tasty early dinner was served, with the evening spent I in making ice cream and playing games. A splendid time was I had by all. The Minersville students were very delighted when their bus broke down en route to school at Beaver Friday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Dalton Fails are the proud parents of an 8V2 lb. baby boy, born Saturday night at the Milford Hospital. Mother Moth-er and son are doing fine. ! When Coy Roberts and Van Davis were taking two North Creek girls home last Sunday night, Coy driving his father's car, the car struck a snowbank and turned on its side about five miles east of Adamsville. In attempting to right the car, Van's fingers were caught in the door and badly mashed. They all walked to the home of Dr. Macintosh, where the girls were treated for frost-bitten legs and the boys for frost-nipped ears. |
