Show Softball Lights to Glow Friday: All-Stars Meet Penney Club The lights are on again at the Softball park, and a free-admission game between the 1946 championship club, J. C. Penney, and an All-Star team will be played at 8 o'clock Friday evening, eve-ning, it was announced today by Vance Fisher, manager . of the Penney squad. Little interest has ben shown in softball this year, but it is believed be-lieved by softball association officials of-ficials that once play starts, the fans will become as rabid as they were .during the pennant drive last fall. Out-of-town games are being arranged between two local squads and representatives of aggregations from Pioche, Cal-iente Cal-iente and Cedar City, on a home and home basis, it was revealed. |
