HURT IN AUTO ACCIDENT NEAR BRYCE Four Minersville youths were critically injured in an automobile accident ..near Bryce Canyon this week-end. Jay Browner suffered a crushed chest, probable frac-f frac-f ture of the skull, a cracked vertebrae and various cuts and bruises. Gerald (Jerry) Eyre received a fractured skull, possible internal in-ternal injuries, and cuts and bruises. Don Gray suffered a fractured frac-tured skull, possible back injuries, in-juries, cuts and bruises . Sam Bohn received a fractured frac-tured ankle, broken shoulder, cuts and bruises. A Miss Reeves of Cedar City, a passenger in the car, suffered a broken back, cuts and bruises. All suffered from shock. The accident occurred at tht "Y" between Panguitch and Bryce Canyon. It was reported that the car, traveling too fast to negotiate the turn, went over an embankment. The group was en ro.-tc to Hijco Canyon where Miss Reeves was em-ployed. em-ployed. The injured persons were removed re-moved to the Panguitch hospital, where they are reported in seri ous condition. , Marcine Davis is now on the road to recovery after a five-week five-week siege of pneumonia. It was first thought that Mr. Davis was suffering from tuberculosis, tuber-culosis, but analysis and examination exami-nation showed him to be suffering suffer-ing from pneumonia, which had followed large abscesses of the lungs. Mrs. Blaine Banks, who has , been ill the past week, has been bedfast and partly paralyzed in the legs. She was taken to a specialist for attention. Mrs. Effie Jameson, who " has been in the Iron County Hospital Hos-pital where she underwent an operation for goitre, returned home on Monday. Miss Norma Davis, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mis. Marcine Davis, Da-vis, suffered a broken leg Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon, when she fell from her bicycle. The 4-H Clubs, both boys and girls, enjoyed a few days out in the Beaver Mountains at Kents Lake. There, they participated par-ticipated in activities with the other boys and girls of the county. Mr. Royle Wood reports the loss of a fishing tackle box containing con-taining all his fishing gear, most of which was accumulated since his release from the Jap prison camps and the army a year ago. Mr. Wood said it was lost between be-tween the Lower Telluride and Kent's Lake, and he would appreciate ap-preciate any information leading to its recovery. Little Sherrie and Frankie Limb, childrenof Mr. and Mrs. Byron Limb of Ruth, Nev., are visiting at the home of their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pryor. |
