Show Milford Dry Cleaner Is Robbed of Men's Clothing Clothing valued in excess of 1 $700 was stolen from the Beaver Beav-er County Cleaners shop last Thursday evening, between 8 and 9 o'clock. Loot included 30 pairs of trousers, four suits and five pair of slacks. Entry was gained thru a window win-dow into the boiler room at the back of the store, after which the thieves opened the back door to remove the garments. Mr. Chamberlain, co-owner of the establishment, returned to the plant about 9 o'clock, frightening frighten-ing the thieves, and probably saving a much greater loss. A pair of trousers stolen from the cleaner was found near the Union Pacific railroad tracks Friday morning, leading to the belief that transient bums were the thieves. The loss was covered cov-ered by insurance, and the stolen garments will be replaced, Mr. Chamberlain said. |
