Show Services today for Springville man killed in Vietnam action graduate of Payson High School. Survivors include his widow, one son, Troy Lynn Gay; his parents, and one brother, Dennis Den-nis Gay all of Springville. Funeral services for Sp.-4 Alvin Leon Gay, 20, of 526 East 1250 Scuth, will be held today at 2 p.m. in the First-Twelfth Ward Chapel. Sp.-4 Gay was killed April 1, 1969 in Vietnam while on duty. Bishop Leon Bjarnson of the First Ward will officiate at the services. Friends may call at the Wheeler Mortuary from 12:30 to 1:45 today. Burial will be In the Springville Evergreen Cemetery with full military rites by a team from Dugway. Sp.-4 Gay was crew chief on a helicopter that was shot down by hostile fire in the Vietnam Wai. He had been in Vietnam since November of 1968. He was born February 3, 1949 in Worland, Wyoming, a son of Bryant and Elaine Davis Da-vis Gay.
