Show Payson Hospital communications system changed An improved communications communica-tions system for patients and administrators is now in operation oper-ation at the Payson City Hospital Hos-pital as part of the operation's recent $1,300,000 expansion and remodeling project. According to Ronald L. Nielsen, Niel-sen, hospital administrator, modern Bell System "Trimline" telephones, which feature the dial in the handset, have been installed in patient rooms. He said the phones are easier for hospitalized persons to use because be-cause the dial can be maneuvered maneu-vered at the patient's convenience. A total of 47 Trimlines were installed for patients and 44 phones were placed in service for hospital personnel. In addition to the new telephones, tele-phones, the hospital also had a more efficient telephone switchboard Installed. With the new system, patients' calls from the hospital can be made without help from the switchboard switch-board operator. Nielsen said the new system is much faster and more convenient. |
