Show Victim loses leg after four-year battle After a hunting accident during the deer hunt four years ago, Clair Barney received a shattered knee when struck by a bullet and he has had nothing but aches and pain since then. A total of 12 different operations opera-tions to the knee has finally ended with the amputation of the leg half way between the knee and the hip which was done last Friday at the Utah Valley Hospital. Mr. Barney was in the hospital two months prior to this time undergoing treatment and operation to overcome the infected area that constantly gave him trouble and kept the wound from healing. A report from his wife indicated in-dicated that he is doing much better and is already able to be in a wheelchair and using crutches to get around. He will be confined to the hospital for a week or two, Mrs. Barney reported. |
