Harold Whiting is the new superintendent, su-perintendent, Eldon Hjorth as a counselor and the other counselor coun-selor will be announced later. They replace Ross Hall, Roy Tanner and Max Merryweather. Dr. and Mrs. Paul K. They were guests at the ' home of Dr. and Mrs. Glenn ' i Dorius. t Mr. and Mrs. Clip Taylor and family spent a few days visit- David Whiting, son of Mr. and Mrs. Juan Whiting underwent under-went surgery Monday at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City. He is reported to be recovering re-covering nicely and will remain in the hospital for about ten days. Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Bushman Bush-man and family left Tuesday morning for a short vacation in Yellowstone National Park. Ron Howes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Reed Howes was injured when he was thrown from a horse on Saturday. He was taken ta-ken to Utah Valley Hospital where he is recuperating. Mr. and Mrs. Hap Griffin from Southern California were guests at the home of Bishop and Mrs. Harold Gividen over the weekend. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Deon Dove are Mrs. Nadine Smith and daughters Nancy Ann and Sandy and Mrs. Linda Cemons and son Matt from Costa Mesa, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gagli-asso Gagli-asso and family from Copper-tino, Copper-tino, California were here visiting vi-siting with Mr .and Mrs. John Bleggi for a few days during the past week. John Perrero, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marty Perrero is at home for a short leave from the service. ser-vice. The Beehive All-Arabian Horse Show will be held at Richfield Friday and Saturday. Tom James is the chairman of the event. Peter Davies and Kine Hatch will both have entries en-tries in the show. The MIA girls and their mothers mo-thers of Mapleton 1st Ward held a cookout and program Wednesday evening at Kelly's Grove .They also enjoyed sports and games. Mrs. Shirlene Revoir was sustained sus-tained as the new secretary in the Mapleton 3rd Ward Primary Pri-mary and Mrs. Gretha Andrea-son Andrea-son is the new in-servilei leader. |
