Show Miss Marcia Roylance became Mrs. Wayne W. Smart June 21 A lovely wedding and reception recep-tion of the early summer season sea-son was that of Miss Marcia Roylance, daughter of Attorney and Mrs. Arnold C. Roylance of this city, and Wayne W. Smart, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Jay Smart also of Spring-ville. The marriage was an event of June 21, taking place in the Salt Lake Temple. A wedding breakfast, hosted by parents of the groom at the Doll House, followed the ceremony, and the next evening, June 22, a reception re-ception honored the newlyweds in the Third-Ninth Ward Cultural Cul-tural Center. For her all-important wedding wed-ding date, the bride chose a beautiful wedding gown, handmade hand-made by her mother, of bridal satin and silk organza. It was in the new caged style with long built-in train. Imported Florentine lace trimmed the bottom of the skirt and was appliqued with seed pearls about the neckline and sleeve cuffs. Her veil, floor length, with lace and pearl appliques, fell from a tiera of silk organza studded with seed pearls. She carried a cascade bouquet of white canations and baby pink rose-buds clustered around a white orchid with rose-bud knotted pink streamers. Attending the bride as maid of honor was Marlene Little-field Little-field while Cherallyn Liston, Susan Bowen, Janet Jeffery, Colleen S. Wright, and Virginia Smart were bridesmaids. Their formal gowns were in shades of turquoise under silk organza and they carried white pom pom crysanthemums and leather fern tied with pink satin ribbon. The little flower girls, Annette An-nette and Susan Smart, and the junior bridesmaids, Kathie Roylance and Debbie Little-field, Little-field, were also in formal gowns o . - '.'It- ' i v- a. J . Smart, the former Miss Marcia Roylance, married in Salt Lake Temple rites. of turquoise with daisy trim and white mum bouquets. Best man to the groom was his brother, James L. Smart. Parents of the couple assisted assist-ed in receiving the guests, the mothers each wearing old rose lace over satin formals with corsages of white mums and pink rosebuds. Greeting guests at the door were Mr. and Mrs. J. Melvin Duke and Mr. and Mrs. T. Melvin Mel-vin Haymond. Ushers were Rondo Jeffery and Terry Roylance. At the bride's book were Mary Jane Miner and Janice Garrett. Arranging the gifts were Mrs. James L. Smart, mrs. Merrill Mer-rill J. Smart, and Mrs. Milo C. Smart. Mary Haymond and Lynette Tippetts acted as the hostesses. Special guests at the reception recep-tion were the grandmothers, Mrs. Edna S. Smart, Mrs. Mary R. Thatcher, and Mrs. Maude C. Roylance. A beautiful wedding cake of four heart-shaped layers resting rest-ing on pillars with turquoise trim and tiny steps leading up to the top and a miniature temple tem-ple was admired by the guests. Following a honeymoon trip to Southei-n Utah, the newly-weds newly-weds will be at home in Provo. |
