Show UL Ronald W. Jackson, 20, who lost his life in an automobile accident, while serving in the Northern Indian LDS Mission Services, burial held here for missionary Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Wednesday at noon in the Fourth-Tenth Ward Chapel, for Ronald Winford Jackson, 20, who lost his life in an automobile au-tomobile accident, Sunday, May 14, 1967, while serving an LDS mission in North Dakota. Bishop Bish-op Howard Ivory was in charge. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery, directed by Wheeler Mortuary. The accident occurred at White Sands, N. D., as Ronald was returning from a function on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation to his place of residence at New Town, N.D. One other person was killed and 11 injured in the accident. He was born, Sept. 4, 1946, in Provo, a son of Carl W. and Lois Johnson Jackson, 380 No. 2nd East. He attended schools in Springville and graduated from Springville LDS Seminary and Springville High School. He was a former member of the Springville Hobble Creek Riding Club. His hobbies were fishing, hunting and horseback riding. He had served 15 months of his mission. Survivors include his parents of Springville ; two brothers and one sister, Howard Jackson, Long Mont, Colo.; Steven Jackson, Jack-son, Springville and Mrs. Stephen Steph-en (Susan) Rowland, Orem; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Johnson of Lakeview; great grandfather, Julius Johnson John-son of Lakeview. |
