Show Mrs. Jeanette Ullock in company com-pany with her daughter, Emma and Gloria Langston of Salt Lake City, have retuned from an enjoyable trip to Norman, Oklahoma, where they visited Dr. and Mrs. Cluff E. (Moyra) Hopla. They went especially for the graduation of Mrs. Ul-lock's Ul-lock's grandson, Richard E. Hopla, from the University of Oklahoma. Crandall who will be guest of honor at an open house Sunday, June 26 in observance ob-servance of her 90th birthday Eva M. Crandall to be honored at open house Honoring Mrs. Eva M. Crandall Cran-dall on the occasion of her 90th birthday, an open house will be given by her family Sunday, June 26, from 3 to 6 p.m., at her former home, 900 South Main St. Friends and relatives are invited to call on her. Mrs. Crandall, widow of Myron My-ron E. Crandall, has made her home in Salt Lake City, for the past 12 years and since losing los-ing her sight has applied her talents to such handiwork as weaving baskets, braiding rugs and crocheting. She resides at 755 South West Temple, Salt Lake City, and enjoys visiting and keeping up with the latest news and politics by radio. She was born June 21, 1876, a daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Karl G. Maeser. Her husband, Myron E. Crandall, to whom she was married, June 25, 1902, died in 1930. I Mrs. Crandall has always been active in LDS Church work and in music, civic and club affairs. She has taught music and her talent as a writer writ-er of pageants has long been rppncm'prt Amnno" hpr litprnrv contributions in this line are, "Pioneer Mother," presented some yeas ago at the high school; another depicting the life of John Hafen, was also produced at the high school. Another pageant entitled, "The B i b 1 e," received recognition from the Relief Society general board and was presented in many stakes of the church. Mrs. Crandall served on the stake Relief Society board a number of years while living in Springville. She is the mother of six sons and a daughter, M. Maeser and Karl K. Crandall, Salt Lake City; Lowell Crandall, Bountiful; Bounti-ful; Gordon Crandall, New York City; Sterling M. Cran- dall, Los Angeles, Calif.; Ann C. Warner, Salt Lake City. Another An-other son, Carlyle (Kelly) Crandall passed away a number num-ber of years ago. She has 30 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren, most of whom will join in congratulating congratu-lating her on her birthday. Doing business on the cuff is a good way to lose your shirt. Fishing will do a lot for a man, but it won't make nim truthful. |
