Show Mapleton Hews Mrs. Blake Everett The June meeting of the Mapleton Ma-pleton Fireman's Auxiliary was held at the home of Thelma Miner. Fourteen members and a guest, Nadine Baines, were present. They enjoyed a talk given by Sheila Pickering on "Fascinating Womanhood." The hostesses were Mabel Paulsen, Cleola Evans and Mrs. Miner. The July meeting will be in charge of the officers with a barbecue planned for auxiliary members and their husbands. It will be h eld at the town park on July 15. Ruby Lessard has just re- luiiicu Hum o. wt:eiv 5 vauauuii in California. She went with her daughter and son-inlaw, Juanita and Gary Carter of Granger. They visited with relatives rel-atives in Napa, Pleasant and Oakland. They also went sightseeing sight-seeing in San Francisco and saw a .stage play while there, j Warren Davidson is home with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Davidson after teaching this past year in California. He is going to work on his master's mas-ter's degree at the BYU this summer. A number of Springville and Mapleton people were in Og-den Og-den Thursday to attend the wedding reception of Dianne Butler, daughter of Fern and Keith Butler, and David Ma-thias. Ma-thias. This is a granddaughter of the late Hattie Jensen. Some of those who attended from this area were Mr. and Mrs. Ermel Jensen and family, Beth Jensen and daughters, Pauline, and Mrs. Joy Nielson, and son, Rex; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Whiting. Mr. and Mrs. James W. Stone of Whittier, California, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Johnson and other relatives this week. They came to attend : the Stone reunion which will be held at the Mapleton City Park on Saturday. Mrs. Naomi Clegg of New-ington,, New-ington,, Connecticut is visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Harmer, and with other relatives and firends in this area. ar-ea. She came to attend MIA conference in Salt Lake City. She is district president of the YWMIA in Connecticut. A "Come as You Are" breakfast break-fast was held by the Mapleton Second Ward Primary officers Martell of Provo. They visited their daughter, Mrs. La Verne Bunnell and family at Meadow Vista, Calif., and also spent some time at Lake Tahoe, being be-ing gone about a week. a.m. on the town park. President Presi-dent Erma Hjorth and her councilors, Alma Whiting and Doris Ann Rowberry were in charge. Mr. and Mrs. Arland Cloward have moved to Ashton, Idaho, to make their home. Mr. Cloward Clow-ard has been working in the timber in that area for the past two or three years. Julia Cloward, their daughter, has just returned from Redwood City, California, where she went to take her little niece, Robin. Robin will be living with her mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Stevens. Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Fullmer just returned from a lovely vacation va-cation in California.
