Show Special functions scheduled for Library Weer here April 77-23 There is no limit to the size of the posters. Prizes are offered of-fered to the winners to be awarded April 23. Deadline is April 16. Other details will be furnished by the librarians. During the story hour April 21, there will be a magician on hand to entertain the child-dren child-dren at the library, and on April 23, Shakespeare's birthday, birth-day, a group from Provo will come to the library to play music on authentic instruments of Shakespeare's time and will also talk about the various music pieces. Next Thursday, April 14, the Commemorating Rational Library Li-brary Week, April 17-23, several sev-eral special functions are being planned by' librarians at the public library, it is announced today. A major activity to acquaint young people with the advantages advan-tages of using the library, is a poster contest, scheduled in two divisions, for students in grade schools and those in junior high. The theme of the posters must coincide with one or both of the national themes of the week: "Keep Growing Read," and "Know What You're Talking About Read." librarians have been invited to speak at the Kiwanis Club meeting, on reading material for men and boys. Townspeople are being urged to return any library books found about the home. Librarians Librar-ians point out that quite often books thought to have been lost, have been 'found" again in a closet or book shelf at house-cleaning time. The books may be deposited in the slot on the west wall of the civic center. Throughout the week, there will be special new books for children and adults on display about the library and townspeople towns-people are invited to come to the library and get acquainted with the place and what it has to offer. |
