Show Home Culture Club at no-hostess meet Mrs. Catherine D. Wills gave a paper entitled, "America's Promise," reviewing highlights of the Constitution, at a meeting meet-ing of the Home Culture Club Friday afternoon. It was a no-hostess no-hostess meeting held at the Community Service Center with Mrs. Harrison Conover, club president, in charge. The club voted to send the incoming president, Mrs. Martin Mar-tin Conover and the program chairman, to be appointed, as delegates to the district ' convention con-vention in Fillmore, April 16, and to the state convention in Salt Lake City, May 18-20. Appreciation was expressed for the work Mrs. Melva Harrison Har-rison has done as president of the Federated Council, in helping help-ing to .convert the library into a meeting place for various organizations and for other projects in; which she lias participated. par-ticipated. After the pledge to the flag, Mrs. Russen Bird read the club collect. Next meeting is to be held in the form of a 1 o'clock luncheon at the Oak Crest Inn with Mrs. Clay Beesley as hostess, hos-tess, April 15. Wayne Decker of Salt Lake City will be the speaker talking on, "Oils and Velvet." The meeting Friday concluded conclud-ed with a delicious luncheon furnished by the club members. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Brown and family of Salem, Oregon, have been visiting his. folks, Mr. and Mrs. Bird Brown in SpringviUe and other relatives in Bountiful. It's strange how all those countries with chips on their shoulders never have to put them in the pot. |
