Show Committee suggests policy for control of new facilities The steering committee is submitting- a list of suggestions to the city council to be approved ap-proved by them for operation of tde old library building. The major suggestions are: It is recommended that no individual, club, or organization organiza-tion be given exclusive use of the facilities and that reservation reserva-tion be made on a "first come, first served" basis with the following exceptions. a. Springville Lions Club has been granted the regular dates of the second and fourth Thursdays of each month to use the large club room. b. The small club room will be reserved for the 20-30 Club and the J"3'cees on Thursday nights alternately. c. That facilities be open to adults only and to children child-ren only by special arrangement arrange-ment with the Board of Control. Con-trol. It is recommended on a trial basis that $3.00 will be charged for each reservation for the large club room and $1.50 for each reservation for the small club room with the following exceptions: a. The Federated Women's Clubs Council and Daughters Daugh-ters of Utah Pioneers be granted free use of the large club room for their regular business meetings. It is recommended that the secretary of the Chamber of Commerce be made responsible for all reservations and said reservations must be made during office hours which are from 9 a.m. till 1 p.m. Monday Mon-day through Friday. a. That two numbered keys be left with said secretary and those making reservations reserva-tions obtain a key from said secretary during office hours and pay for reservations b. After the use of the facility fa-cility the building should be locked and the key returned to the Chamber office. c. It is recommended that where possible that use be made of welfare personnel in overall care and janitorial service and that the city council designate some one to make regular inspection of the utilities and that care of the grounds be tied in with care and supervision of the Civic Center. It is recommended that the general supervision and administration ad-ministration of the facility be entrusted to a Board of Control Con-trol consisting of seven members mem-bers representing the following groups: 1 The Federated Women's Wo-men's Clubs. 2. Non federated womens groups. 3. The Lions Club. 4. The Daughters of Utah Pioneers. 5. The Chamber of Commerce. 6. Jaycees and 20-30 Clubs. 7. Liason member from the City Council. It was agreed that the above recommendations be put into effect on a trial basis until June 31, 1966. All rentals collected are to be turned over to city treasurer. treasur-er.
