Show Music club begins season at social The Springville Federated Music Club held their opening social at which the retiring officers of-ficers were honored, Friday evening, at the home of Mrs. Marge Bird. New officers acted ac-ted as hostesses. Anna Marie Palfreyman, program pro-gram chairman, Introduced the theme and gave a preview of the club program. Later musical musi-cal games were played. Eileen bird, retiring president, presi-dent, was presented with a gift in appreciation of her services the past two years. Also during dur-ing the evening, the new president, pres-ident, Yvonne Johnson, introduced intro-duced three new members, Monta F. Felix, Alma Whiting and Margaret Smith. A nicely arranged lunch was served by the hostesses including includ-ing besides Mrs. Bird and Mrs. Johnson, Betty iSumsion, Ellen Anderson, Jean Biesinger, Anna An-na Marie Palfreyman, Annie Forshee and Hannah Rowland. Sixteen club members were in attendance. Herbert Hoover has the most honorary degrees (84) of any person in the nation. |
