Mrs, Nina Reid in national dub publication Mrs. Arthur (Nina) Reid, 280 East Third South, has been selected for listing this year, from this area, in the book, "Outstanding Young Women of America," in recognition of her outstanding record of accomplishments. ac-complishments. Mrs. Reid's name was suggested sug-gested by the Pari Passu Federated Fed-erated Club. "Outstanding Young Women of America" is an annual biographical bio-graphical compilation of approximately ap-proximately 6,000 outstanding young women throughout the country. The book is patterned after the Junior Chamber of Commerce publication, "Outstanding "Out-standing Young Men of America." Amer-ica." Local women's clubs through out the nation are asked each year to submit nominations for the book. Each year a different differ-ent group of outstanding young women is included. Guidelines for selection include, unselfish service to others, charitable activities, community service, professional excellence, business busi-ness advancement, and civic and professional recognition. A member of the Faits Bien Federated Club Mrs. Reid has been prominent in club work for a number of years serving as club president and council president and district vice president. She has served on the art board, the committee for children and youth and the City Coordinating Council. She has been corresponding secretary of the Women's Legislative Leg-islative Council of Utah County and city chairman of the mental men-tal health society. In addition to club and civic work she has been MIA president, presi-dent, a teacher and drama and dance director in MIA and organist or-ganist for the Relief Society. She has participated in various drives in the city and has been employed in secretarial work at different periods of time. She is the mother of two sons age 12 and 7 and a daughter two. |
