Show This Saturday Golf Course Day is re-seJ Because the last Golf Course Day proclaimed by Mayor Paul M. Haymond was snowed out, another day has been set for Saturday, Oct. 9, at the new Hobble Creek golf, Course. All able bodied girls and boys along with men and women wo-men interested in seeing the golf course progress, are invited in-vited to go to the course to help remove rocks in preparation prepar-ation for planting of the grass on the course this fall. According to Milan Packard who is heading the drive, a large number of helpers is needed to complete the job and assure the planting of the seed before freezing weather sets in. The city will have equipment on hand to haul off the rocks and assist in cleaning up the course. Work on the sprinkling system has been going forward in preparation for the planting. Kim Mock, son" of Mr. and Mrs. Gene L. Mock, 615 East Canyon Drive, injured his back in a fall from a horse while playing near the race track Wednesday of last week. |
