CEDAR CITY "The only thing worse than performing in public is performing in front of television cameras," Jim Dunaway commented com-mented at the end of the videotaping session. And his students will verify that performing in front of cameras is indeed a more tense situation. Last weekend the 23-member 23-member Crimson Soul singing group from Cedar High School spent an entire afternoon in the KUED recording studio in Salt Lake City. They had received a special invitation to record a ten-minute segment to be presented on the station's "performance" "per-formance" series. The educational channel broadcasts the per formance series on a regular basis, but had little or no Christmas music. Therefore, the CHS group was asked to record some Christmas music. The group performed "Joy to the World," "A Joyous Christmas Carol," "Silent Night," and "It's Christmas Time." Stephanie Webster and Colleen Johnson were featured as soloists on the last two numbers. Those wishing to view the Cedar High group perform on TV can tune in to channel 7 on Dec. 21 at 11:50 a.m. and 1:35 p.m. The performance will also be broadcast on Dec. 23 at 2:20 p.m. Station Manager, Fred |
