Show Basketball league starting to oll CEDAR CITY - The Cedar City Recreation Department is still accepting ac-cepting applications for teams in the city's annual basketball leagues. According to Recreation Director Steve Hodson there are positions available for teams in all the leagues. The Men's Open League is open to any team with a maximum of two four-year college lettermen. Players in this league do not have to work for their sponsor. Games will be played on Monday nights beginning Dec. 13. The Men's Industrial "A" and "B" leagues are open to teams who include in-clude one half of their players as employees of the sponsoring agency or agencies. Games in these leagues will be played on Tuesday and Thursday nights beginning Dec. 14 and 16. The Men's Recreational Basketball League is similar to the industrial leagues, with the stipulation of no college lettermen, junior varsity or varsity. In addition no one who has played high school varsity basketball during the past five years is allowed. Half of the players in this league must work for the sponsoring agency. Games will be played on Wednesday nights starting Dec. 15. Teams in all leagues will be required to pay a $70 fee; and players, a $10 fee. Team r6sters and money should be turned in by the first game. A schedule of guidelines will be handed out the week of Dec. 6-10.
