Show '(10 N l Zip Doug Croft and Elaine Lawrence Lawrence - Croft set temple nuptial SUMMIT Alma C. and Mary Lawrence recently announced the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Elaine, to Doug Croft, son of Carl R. and Jane Croft of Cedar City. The couple will be married July 9 in the St. George LDS Temple. A reception will be conducted in their honor that evening from 7 to 9 p.m. on the patio of the Ninth Ward meetinghouse. The bride-to-be has attended the Utah Technical College-Pro vo; Brigham Young University, where she received an associate degree; and Mary Kawakami Cosmotology College. She recently graduated with honors from Southern Utah State College, receiving a B.A. degree in elementary education and a nursery school vocational certificate. She has accepted a teaching position at Parowan Elementary for the upcoming school year. She has also served an LDS mission to Norway. The prospective groom has attended SUSC, and is presently employed as a heavy equipment mechanic for the Department of Transportation, and as a part-time part-time mechanic for George the Music Man. He is also serving as president of the Association to Save Cedar Canyon, is a member of the SUSC Vocational Advisory Board and the Automotive Industrial Advisory Board, is Pac-Chairman for the Public Employees Association, and is a member of the Lion's Club. He is also active in the LDS Church, most currrently serving as stake YSI male representative and elder's quorum executive secretary to the Ninth Ward quorum of elders. The couple plan to live in Cedar City. |
