Show Four locals serving Four Iron County students are serving as officers this year in Southern Utah State College's . Chi Alpha Chapter of Phi Beta Lambda, a national business organization. . Eric Chamberlain, son of Mr. and Mrs. LaVell Chamberlain, Cedar City, is president of the 64- member club. He is a senior at SUSC, majoring in business administration ad-ministration with a minor in marketing.; The 1977 Cedar High School graduate was Chi Alpha treasurer last year. Jan Jolley, a freshman majoring in business administration, is Chi Alpha secretary. The 1980 graduate of CHS is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Evan Jolley, Cedar City. Sisters Marie and Nyleen Bosshardt, accounting ac-counting majors at SUSC, I are serving as Chi Alpha historian and treasurer, respectively. They are the daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Nyal V. Bosshardt, Beryl. Nyleen, a 1978 CHS graduate, was chapter secretary last year. Marie graduated from CHS last spring. Chi Alpha officers are finalizing plans this month for the selection of SUSC's Business Person of the Year. Last year the award Chi Alpha's first-went to Cedar City businessman James Hoyle Jr. Chapter members are-also are-also busily preparing for competition in some 38 team, chapter and individual in-dividual contests at the State PBL Leadership Conference which will be held April 10-11 at Utah Technical College, Salt Lake City. Last year the conference was held at SUSC where Chi Alpha was named Utah Chapter of the Year. Earlier this year the business club compiled and sold copies of the 1980-81 student directory, a listing of names, addresses ad-dresses and phone numbers of SUSC students, faculty and staff. Members also attended the Western Regional Leadership Conference in Anaheim, Calif., and have completed com-pleted various other ; service projects and fund-raising activities. Last year Chi Alpha Chapter earned national honors as the largest PBL chapter in the western states, an area covering California, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, Arizona, Idaho, Alaska, Nevada and Utah. Doris Williamson, assistant professor of business at SUSC, is chapter advisor. |
