Show Senate hearings scheduled WASHINGTON, D.C.-Senate D.C.-Senate hearings into "problems female employees em-ployees may be experiencing ex-periencing while trying to join the work force" have been scheduled before the Labor and Human Resources Committee according to Sen. Orrin Hatch, (R-Utah) chairman. "Women have been forced to accept salary inequities, sexual harassment harass-ment and other forms of discrimination just to keep their jobs. I hope we can promote the eradication of this type of discrimination .. by providing a public forum lor the presentation of these concerns," Hatch said. Twelve organizations are expected to appear on three panels. "We also want to identify concerns which the Labor Committee and the Reagan administration ad-ministration should address immediately. I'm sure these organizations will also provide us with specifi' issues lor subsequen hearings," Hatch said. |
