I 7 : rr v VANESSA SLAUGH NELLIE GILES ALLISON GRAFF ERIC LINDSAY JOHN PARIS March Honor Students at Junior High Schoo Announced Anderson, Sheri Alger, David Clark, Carolyn Budd, Tim Etsitty, Marie Dalton, Michelle Snook, Greg Bulloch, Annette Blackner, Leslie Bittick, Jamie Jarvis, Patrice Carpenter, Leisel Palmer and Terri Holwager. Ninth grade: Tonya Lunceford, Ron Messerly, Lenore Ashdown, Eduardo Catbagan, Stacy Brown, Lisa Wright, Sandy Hunt, Randi Nelson, Chbng Wong Adair, Michelle Fullmer, Andrea Stratton, Robin Esplin, Christine Schultz, Teresa Rindlisbach, Lisa Willman and Dawn Dunn. Twenty three students at Cedar City Junior High School were selected as Honor Students for the month of March. Honor Students are selected by the faculty on the basis of positive citizenship characteristics, iniative and progress toward realistic individual educational goals.. According to Stephen L. , Garrett, chairman of the Recognition Committee, . "We do have a lot 'of excellent ex-cellent people in our student , body. It's nice to be able to focus attention on them for awhile. We had 27 seventh graders, 25 eighth graders and 25 ninth graders nominated, and the voting was very close in selecting the final list of Honor Students." Honor Students differ from the Honor roll in that the Honor roll is determined strictly on the basis of grade point average. In selecting Honor Students, grade point average is only one of many factors. Those students chosen as Honor Students for March, 1980 are: Seventh Grade:Shcrri , Brown, Boyd Esplin, Glynis Adams, Jeanette Neptuiu-,. Kyle Harris, Tammy Brinkerhoff, Sandy IMley, Cleve Weaver and Kelly Pulley. Eighth Grade: Nellie Giles, Allison Graff. Curtis ' Talbot, Gary Mackleprang, Alan Catbagan and Brain White. Ninth Grade: John Paris. Vanessa Slaugh. Tt'd Jessop. Mike Tait, Karl Hugh. Robyn Roundy, Sandra Dallinga and Eric Lindsay.
