Show SUSC president is hospitalized Southern Utah State College President Orville D. Carnahan is listed in "good" condition at Valley View Medical Center after suffering a mild heart attack. President Carnahan was admitted to the hospital at about 11 a.m. Monday after his personal physician, Dr. David W. Brown, viewed results of an EKG test. The SUSC president consulted Dr. Brown after suffering chest pains Saturday, Sunday and Monday morning. "He is resting well and suffering no pain," President Carnahan's wife Colleen reported. "We have been told by the doctors that he will have to spend six weeks, and possibly more, resting and away from work." President Carnahan is not being confined to the intensive care unit; the hospital indicates that his condition con-dition is stable. |
