Show eprfe aoaris tasicpGfl Athletes from Milford High school will be honored for their accomplishments tonight (Thursday, May 10th) at the Milford Elementary School Cafeteria, at the Milford Mil-ford High School Sports in the state tennis tourney the same day. Girls competed in basketball, bas-ketball, volleyball and track In 1978-79. Also to be honored will be the Tigerette Drill Team and Cheerleaders. Cheer-leaders. The public is invited, and a delicious roast beef dinner will be served at $4.50 per plate. Letters and awards will be presented to deserving athletes. Awards Banquet. Special guest speaker for the affair will be Len Wal-terschied, Wal-terschied, defensive safety with the Chicago Bears, of the National Football League. Waltershied was a standout at Moab High School, and an ail-American from Southern Utah State College. Waltershied was on the kickoff return team last year, his third in the NFL and led the League in kick-off kick-off returns until the final game of the season. He is rated as a dynamic speaker and should be well received. The banquet will honor both boy and girl athletes who have competed for Milford Mil-ford High during the past season. Beginning with a fairly . mediocre football season, the Tigers came on in Basketball, Bas-ketball, to capture second place in Class 1-A basketball. basket-ball. Track and Tennis have brough along several com -petitors and there will be - four boys and four girls competing in the state track meet on Saturday at Snow College. Two will compete |
