Show Mayor Dofoon iontlorc resignation in Jinorsvillo In a move not altogether a surprise, Town President, Reuben Dotson, in a letter to the town board, tendered ported there is a countywide program going into effect soon, called the Senior Citizens Citi-zens Watch. Senior Citizens are asked to keep a watch out for such things as speeders, burglary, suspicious happenings hap-penings and report them to the sheriff's office. The sewer system for the town was discussed. When it was first instigated the EPA said they would finance 75 of Phase I. On this understanding under-standing the town went ahead and began the study. Now EPA says they will not participate par-ticipate in the funding at all. This leaves the burden on Minersville and has slowed down the program. However, they expect to enter into Phase II, hopefully by the end of this year. A raise was approved for the city recorder. his resignation Monday evening. eve-ning. Citinghealth problems outside pressures, and a desire de-sire to travel, Dotson thanked the board for their past cooperation and urged them to work together seriously to make the community com-munity a better place to live. The board was hope -ful that Mr. Dotson would reconsider his decision and fulfill his remaining term. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Griffiths Grif-fiths met with the board about building permit clarification. clarifi-cation. Drew Larsen, county building supervisor was contacted and the situation discussed over the phone. A motion was then made to let work on the building proceed, with the stipulation that elec -trical and plumbing codes be followed. Alan Solomon, who had been employed by the town on, the Youth Jobs , Program resigned his position. The board would like applications of interested persons as soon as possible so the town will have the help needed. The cemetery needs to be cleaned and cared for before the Memorial Holiday. It was decided to ask Keith Dotson, Jr., to do the work. The pipe needs to be put in at the reservoir. As time is short and help is scarce, it was decided to hire someone some-one to get the job done im -mediately. Community housing funds were discussed. Some wiring, wir-ing, insulation and siding will be done for a few who need it. Larry Bailey's request for approval of his above ground storage tanks is still in question. ques-tion. Drew Larsen is checking check-ing on state and EPA laws before granting the request. The town fire department will be organized under the, direction of Board member Richard Albrecht.
