Bea Oxley spent a busy 10 days in Salt Lake visiting with Lynn and Amanda Hansen, Han-sen, and daughter, Erin. Bea attended the Business and Professional Women (BPW) Midwinter Board Meeting, which was celebrating its 60th anniversary with guests from the national office in Washington D.C., and main speaker, Polly Madenwald, of Oregon. Also, Amanda and Bea attended the Lincoln Day Banquet February 15, which the G.O.P. sponsors at the Hilton, and this year, Senator Hatch and Representative Repres-entative Marriott were the-speakers. the-speakers. News flash! Mitch and Beth Fisher received word from Amnion, Idaho, that daughter and son-in-law, Terry and Doug Judy, became be-came parents of their tenth child on February 19th. The 9 pound 2 ounce boy is the third boy in the family and will be named Merrill Clifford, Clif-ford, after his father, and grandfather Judy. I neglected to mention last week that Tim and Diane Fisher and children arrived from Cedar to spend some time with Mitch and Beth Fisher in Milford. Mike came down from Salt Lake, where he is temporarily training -at the police academy there. ,; Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Matkin, of Victor, Idaho, spent the weekend and Jean's birthday with Mr. and Mrs. John Hanley, In Milford. Mrs. Matkin is Mrs. Han-ley's Han-ley's sister. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. George Cook, who became be-came grandparents of a little lit-tle girl on February 13th. Their daughter, Teri, and son-in-law, Mark Campbell, Oare the proud, first time parents. The Cooks went to Summit Saturday to see the baby, who weighed in at a tiny 5 pounds 3 ounces, and who will be named, Wendy. Triple birthday greetings to Maria Florence, her son, Mark, and father-in-law, Leonard Florence, who celebrated cele-brated their birthdays visiting visit-ing relatives up north with Sam's folks, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard G. Florence. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. Larry Florence, Mrs Norman Nor-man Stain and family, and Maria's mother, Mrs. Pieter Hooft, of Salt Lake. Birthday activities included the Weber State Gonzaga game, bowling, dinner and a new bike for 6 year old Mark. Congratulations are also due Virginia Grimes, whose son and daughter-in-law, Frank J. (Jon) and Casey Grimes, became proud parents par-ents of a 7 pound girl born February 7, in Jackson, Wyoming. Laurie and Linda Sullivan were down from Provo over the weekend visitingthe Gary Sullivan family. Linda brought her roommate, Robin Harris, of Blackfoot, Idaho, down for a visit. Last Wednesday, Maurene Jones, mother of KathyAck-lin, KathyAck-lin, and Connie Wadsworth, attended the Gilbert McGinn Mc-Ginn funeral, and then she returned to Milford again this Sunday with husband, Jf Jim, to visit their daughter's " families before returning to their home in Ely. Tacos, cheesecake and volleyball were a great com -bination for the SecondWard Marrieds party held last Friday, February 16th at the LDS Cultural ' Hall. Chairpeople, Dennis and Maxine Cox, organized the lively get-together which included: in-cluded: Herb and Janet Heer, Melvin and Carla Stewart, Blake and Terry Madsen, Jeri Lounsbury, Wayne and Evelyn McCulley, LaVarand Nora Davis, Gene and Janice Jan-ice Wright, Joe and Connie Con-nie Puffer, Phil and Jayn-ell Jayn-ell Bailey, and Wayne and Beverly Stewart. It was a hectic but happy weekend for James and Rene Hardy. Their neice, Myrna Bagshaw, and her daughter, Carol, of Las Vegas, picked them up and drove to Mid-vale Mid-vale to attend son, Sheldon's marriage to the former Tina Kashishian. They all returned re-turned Saturday to Milford, where they and 55 other relatives converged on Keith and Beverlee Erickson's home for a wedding dinner.
