To get in the Christmas spirit of things, Dave and Jilene Berger, cut their own tree and took it up to Jilene's parents, Jack and Jean Goodwin, in Salt Lake, over the weekend. Mrs. Altheda Gale drove up to Springville with Mike and Gay Schow to spend a week with her son, Clair and his wife, Helen, and other family members. Mr. and Mrs. Evan Lister, and Mike Pritchard traveled to Piute to see Todd Lister pin his opponent at the wrest -ling match. He competes in the 119 pound category and has three pins out of three matches. Recently, Mr. and Mrs. Charles McCulley entertained enter-tained Mary Jane and Dyke LeFevre and their six children, chil-dren, from Hooper; Anna and Robert Kirby, and two of their children, from Garland; Gar-land; and Carla and Paul Limb and daughter, of Washington, Utah. A treat for the whole family was to watch the Kirby's daughter, Jill, appear on TV; she is a second year cadet at West Point. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Patterson, Pat-terson, and son, LaMar, visited the Ross Pattersons and Clyde Griffiths families over the weekend, while in town for the Dan Ferguson funeral. Visitors from Salt Lake at Dora Johnson's home last weekend included Dora's son, Orlyn, his wife, daughter, daugh-ter, and mother-in-law. Eddie and Barbara Patterson Pat-terson enjoyed a visit with Barbara's brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Alan Jones, in Las Vegas over the weekend. Woody and Linda Adding-ton Adding-ton had as guests in their home, Russell and Jackie Muir (Linda's parents), and their sons, Brian and Rodney, Rod-ney, all of Las Vegas. Saturday Satur-day night the menfolk attended at-tended the basketball game. The -Muirs also visited with relatives in Minersville and Beaver. A First Ward Fireside on December 3rd, featured President Paul Nielsen and his wife, who gave a slide presentation of their recent trip to Israel. Also present were: Woody and Linda Ad-dington, Ad-dington, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Gillins, Marian Banks, Lynn Foster, and hosts, Norm and Sherry Thompson. Joe Tribole just returned re-turned from his vacation, which was spent with his daughter, Hazel, and Oakley Nelson, at their home in Diamond Bar, California. He left with the Nelsons just after their unsuccessful deer hunt in October in the Mineral Miner-al Range. While in California, he visited his son, Frank, and family, at Lake wood, and other relatives and friends. While at Frank's he met for the first time, two of his great-grand children, Noah and Rachel Tribole. Baby Noah, born Septem -ber 13, 1978, completed the first four male generations of the Tribole family. Joe spent Thanksgiving at the home of Hazel. Joe is glad to be home again, and invites his friends and neighbors in to see him. He has a new hearing aid |
