Show District affondonco policy affects grado The Beaver County School District has adopted an attendance at-tendance policy which will have a very definite effect ' on students grades. The District's emphasis on attendance, besides the student's welfare, is in com pliance with Utah State law, and, of course, the effect of absences of revenue received receiv-ed from the state based on daily school attendance. The policy adopted by the District is as follows: I- 5 absences . ..FullCredit 6-10 absences . . 75 percent II- 15 absences . 50 percent 16-20 absences . 25 percent 21 & over no credit The policy will be in effect ef-fect in all classes. All absences ab-sences regardless of cause, count the same except illness verified by the school nurse or a physician. Students on school business busi-ness will be counted as present. pres-ent. Absences by family request re-quest must have prior approval ap-proval of the Board of Education. Edu-cation. Students achieving perfect attendance and A grades in any class will have the option op-tion of foregoing final exam in that class. |
