Ce-! dar City and Mr. and Mrs. i Mel Lowell from Las Vegas all joined Mr. and Mrs. Ar-shell Ar-shell Evans and Lois and Angelia in the Beaver Moun- tains for a family dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Blake Carter Car-ter had their baby blessed. Her father, Blake, blessed her and gave her the name of 1 I Shilow Anne Carter, and I her mom, Linda, fixed a big I family dinner. Those present pres-ent were Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Ger-ald Hyatt and Holley Lisa Lanrow and baby, Kirk, and L; Grandmother Maude Hyatt of Parowan; Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Puffer, of Beaver, Mr. and Mrs. Brent Taylor of Cedar; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Er-nest Myers of Minersville, and Blair and Christy Bob-zin Bob-zin and Mr. and Mrs. Jack McMullin and family, Mike Gillins, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle" Carter and family, all from Minersville. Mrs. Nettie Myers and Mrs. Lois Pearson traveled to Salt Lake on business and to visit Mr. and Mrs. Thel-lo Thel-lo Smith. At the home of Clinton and Verna Thompson for the weekend were their children and grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Willison, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Willison, Mr. and Mrs. Cal Willison, and Chad Murdock and girl friend Cindy Quinn. Six members of the Susan Camp of Daughters of Utah Pioneers attended a county Jubilee held at the Historical Histori-cal Park in Beaver Saturday, August 26, 1978. At noon a lunch was served, followed follow-ed by a program. Those attending were Pauline Wood, Mildred Martin, Vir-gene Vir-gene Jameson, Madge Carter, Car-ter, Mary Beth Bailey and Effie Jameson. The Opening Social for the Mutual was held Tuesday, August 29th, at the park on the Minersville Church grounds. Hot dogs, potato salad, Kool Aid and brownies were served. They all had a good time dancing danc-ing and playing games. Mrs. Jennifer Johnson traveled from Provo to visit vis-it her grandmother, Mrs. Nettie Myers. Jenny was recently married. Mr. and Mrs. Scott Beal-er Beal-er (our banker) are happy to announce the birth of a beautiful baby boy. Grandparents Grand-parents are Mr. and Mrs. Fay Marshall of Minersville, Mr. and Mrs. Al Bealer of Milford. Great -grandmothers are Mrs. Lettie Thompson Thomp-son and Mrs. Effie Marshall of Minersville. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Roberts Rob-erts are going to Oregon to help their sons, Vance, Coy, and Berl with their fall crops. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Marshall Mar-shall and Mr. and Mrs. Oswald Os-wald Myers drove to Denver Den-ver to see Loretta and La-Nae's La-Nae's horse run Friday at the Denver race track. . Mrs. Sylvia Davis celebrated cele-brated her birthday Tuesday, August 29th. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Pearson, Mr. andMrs. Dean Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Odgen, Mr. and Mrs. Darrin Marshall, Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Thomas and family all spent the evening and had refreshments with her. Mrs. Dorothy Wood and Ellen and Kelly drove to Brigham City to take their nephew, Steven Brimberry. home. They visited with his parents and returned home the next day. Mrs. Madge Carter has spent a few days with her son, Wendon, in St. George. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Truman Tru-man had their baby blessed Sunday. The baby's grandfather, grand-father, Karl Truman, blessed bless-ed her and gave her the name ofCollette. Mrs.GaylePet-erson, Mrs.GaylePet-erson, Mrs. Kathy Larson, and Lyle Truman and Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Smith were here for the occasion. Mrs. Edith Marhsall has had surgery in the Medical Center in Salt Lake City. Her husband, Hayward is there with her. Many Minersville resi-ents resi-ents spent a couple of days this weekend in Parowan at the horse races. Mr. and Mrs. Val Thompson Thomp-son spent a few days in Tooele visiting family and friends. Mr. Clark Davis is visiting vis-iting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Neil Davis. They spent one day out. west riding around. Mr. Karl Gillins from Hurricane spent the weekend visiting. ) Mrs. Debbie Blackner of Provo spent the weekend with her aunt and uncle, Wilma all enjoyed a camping trip with the Dick Davis family. Mr. and Mrs. Tim Marshall Mar-shall spent the weekend at Mountain Pass, California to visit their sister, Mr. and Mrs. Kent Swindlehurst. Mr. and Mrs. Billy Ashley, Ash-ley, Milford, stopped by and 'took their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ashley for a steak supper. i Mr. and Mrs. Ned Daly J from Salt Lake spent the I weekend at their children's, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Dotson. Mrs. Lola Bohn has been i transferred to the Las Vegas ' Hospital for possible heart surgery. |
