Show Helen Gillins 387-2612 On Saturday evening, the 15th of July, the Old Timers Club 33 met at Barnes Ranch for a steak fry. Forty For-ty members enjoyed the good food and the lovely quiet evening as the wind wasn't blowing. Ray and Tammy Chavez, on July 12th, had a beautiful beau-tiful little daughter come into their lives at the Mil-ford Mil-ford Valley Memorial Hospital. Hos-pital. Proud grandparents are McCoy and Jackie Williams. Wil-liams. The little one has been given the name Maria Adriene. She has a brother, broth-er, Dominic, to welcome her home. Last week Jimmy and Betty Bet-ty Wright and children, Teresa and Lance, from Og-den Og-den were here for a visit. Betty and children stayed for a week and Jimmy went on to work in Caliente. They were visiting with their mother and grandmother, Rosalie Cook. Teresa and Lance visited with grandmother, grand-mother, Nora Wright, three days. Art and Darlene Talbot Tal-bot made a surprise visit with parents, Them an and Opal Walker on their way home to Delta last week. Last Saturday evening a lovely buffet supper was hosted by Bob and Jill Puffer Puf-fer for their son, Rick, and lovely new bride, Laurel, following their wedding at the LDS Church. Rick's grandparents grand-parents Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Jas-per Puffer, Beaver, were in attendance. Many relatives rela-tives and friends enjoyed the evening and the supper that was served in the Puffer's yard. Lois and Toni Price participated par-ticipated at the Rodeo held in Bryce Canyon July 15th. Janell Leko is home from school now for the summer. Also visiting for the sum - mer with Mr. and Mrs. Nick Leko is their grandson, Eric Roach. Arlan Mayer and Jeff At - kin are attending the basketball basket-ball clinic being held at the University of Utah this week. Max and Clariss Price attended at-tended the funeral of Dean Adams, the son of their friends, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ken-neth Adams, Delta. They attended the Cook reunion held the first weekend of July. They said they visited vis-ited with many relatives they hadn't seen in as much as 10 years. On Sunday, July 16th, Lorraine Lor-raine and Nona Gillins, Kathy Kirk and son, Brady, Nora Wright and Clair and Helen Gillins were in Fillmore for Sacrament meeting at the 1st Ward of Fillmore. Also Al-so at this meeting were Keith and Connie Gillins and sons, Corry, Kelly, and Colby, Connie's parents, Eldon and Ora Burke, and friends of the Burke's, Jim and Ethel. At this services Lorraine and Nona's son, Keith Lorraine Lor-raine Gillins, was sustained as Bishop of the 1st Ward with Councilors, Jim Hansen Han-sen and LeGene Allred. After Af-ter Sacrament the group was invited into the Relief Society room where Keith was ordained or-dained to office of a High Priest and then to office of Bishop by Stake President George. The Councilors were also made High Priests. In the afternoon a-t -the --Gill-ins home 'Connie . had prepared a delicious din -ner for the group. |
