Show MINERAL EXHIBIT I ON DISPLAY AT STATE CAPITOL The Utah Mining Association Associa-tion Monday presented to the State of Utah an elaborate, permanent public exhibit to be housed in the State Capital. Capi-tal. Gordon E. Harmston, Executive Ex-ecutive Director, Utah State Department of Natural Resources, Re-sources, accepted the display dis-play from Peter Behrens, President of Great Salt Lake Minerals & Chemicals Corporation, Cor-poration, and President of the Utah MinlngAssoclation. Mr. Behrens said, "It Is our hope that the public in general, and school children in particular, will discover the personal importance of-Utah's of-Utah's vast mineral wealth through this exhibit." Clark L. Wilson, Manager of Affiliated Properties, Anaconda Company, and Chairman of the Mining Association's Public RelationsExhibit Re-lationsExhibit Committee, said "We have collected specimens of Utah minerals, and a cross -section of everyday consumer products derived from those minerals, miner-als, to help create a general awareness that just about everything we use comes from mining." Gary R. Hansen, Public Relations Director, American Ameri-can Coal Company, was the Exhibit Chairman who coordinated co-ordinated the project with Farrell Allen Display Company Com-pany of Salt Lake City. |
