Show Helen Gillinj 387-2612 Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Mayer May-er and family hosted a buffet buf-fet Christmas eve dinner for family members of Jerry's. Enjoying the festivities were Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Cook, Mrs. Mary Jesse, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Scheideman, all Milford, Doug Mayer, Salt Lake, Or lean Jesse, Moore -head, Minn., Gary and Karen Liegh and family, Cedar City and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Mayer. Mr. and Mrs. DonaldNar-use DonaldNar-use and family who are stationed sta-tioned at Fort Lee, Richmond, Virginia, were home the week before Christmas with parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. H. Nar-use. Nar-use. They all left for California Cal-ifornia and enjoyed Christmas Christ-mas and New Year holidays with relatives. The Naruses have returned home and Donald Don-ald and family to the base. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Rimpau spent their holiday vacation in Reno, Nevada with their son, Jim, and wife, Sidney (Burbidge) Rimpau. Mrs. Rimpau tells me it was just a delightful vacation, being with the kids. Mrs. Joe (Connie) Puffer told of the death of her uncle, un-cle, Jack Bradshaw. He died during the holidays in Al-hambra, Al-hambra, Calif. He was a former South Milford resident. resi-dent. His wife survives him . Mr. and Mrs. Leon Jones and Mr. and Mrs. Doug Gilliam Gil-liam attended the funeral. Jack was the ladies brother. Little Miss Jill Mayer recently re-cently celebrated her birthday birth-day with a party given by her parents, Jerry and Janice. Jan-ice. Mrs. Cuma Goodwin and son, Bill, accompanied by a granddaughter, Jilene and husband, David Berger, went to Salt Lake for the holidays, holi-days, spending time with son, Jack and family. They enjoyed en-joyed the annual Christmas party with the Poulton family. Staying there until after New Years, they all enjoyed see-' see-' ing the film, Brigham. On Christmas day they all talked with their son and grandson, Jack M. Goodwin, who is on a misson in Rhode Island. New Years weekend visitors vis-itors of Mr. and Mrs. James Mayer and sons, were other children, Adele and Tom McGinn Mc-Ginn and their three children chil-dren of Ogden. Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Mayer on the New Year wereMr. andMrs. Ed Matter of Salt Lake. Paul and Barbara Yardley of Cedar City spent a couple of days during the New Year holiday with parents, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Yardley. The New Years weekend found Deanna and Linus Lep-pink Lep-pink and children, Cindy, Ryan, Ry-an, Linny and Christine, of Salt Lake at parents and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Theman Walker. OnMonday Elwin and Carol Marquard-son Marquard-son and grandson from Cedar City came for a visit with the Leppinks before they re -turned to Salt Lake. Adele McGinn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Mayer, is the head manager of the Euporian Spa in Ogden. Mr. and Mrs.RussellMay-er Mrs.RussellMay-er hosted aNew Years dinner at their lovely home for their son, Dick and wife, Phyllis, and family. Also attending were Mr. andMrs. Lee Scheideman Schei-deman of Milford and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Metter of Salt Lake. Mr. andMrs. Phillip Bailey Bail-ey and little daughter have moved into their lovely new home. The John and Doragene Bailey family had a bigfam-ily bigfam-ily reunion during the holidays. holi-days. All their children visited vis-ited them at some time during dur-ing this week. Jimmy and Sue Bailey, Salt Lake, Neil and Virginia Bradshaw and family of Kerns, Ron and Judy Bailey and children, Santa Clara, Kenny and Mary Ann and sons, Milford, Carolyn and Pat Price and family of Cedar City, Larry and Mary Beth Bailey, Minersville, Bonnie and Bruce Dalton and children, Hatch and Phillip and wife and daughter, all dropped in at one time or another. Mr. and Mrs. Gail Van Tassell had their daughter, Charlotte, and husband, Lynnr Hatch, and family from Price during the New Years weekend to stay with them. They also visited Lynn's mother, Carolyn Hatch, in Milford and Cliff and Sylvia Ann Bradshaw and daughters. The C. Gillins spent the week at Las Vegas from Christmas until after -New Years with their children, Bob and LousieMcKnightand Nicole and Natalie. Also visiting with Willis and Af-ton Af-ton Rodgers and the Rodger's son, Rex, and family and daughter, Nona. Scott and Joyce Pearson had their son, Troy, in Salt Lake at the LDS Hospital for observation and tests. They returned home Sunday after spending a few days there. Joyce's parents, Vendon and LaRayn Myers from Minersville Min-ersville cared for the other children while they were in Salt Lake. We are all hoping hop-ing the test will all be sat- - . m w n isfactory for a speedy recovery re-covery for Troy. Sunday, Mark Yardley was ordained to the office of a deacon. He is the son of Joe and Verlene Yardley. His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Gray of Minersville and they were here for the occasion. Grandpa Delmar performed this service. Mr. and Mrs. Al Mosher from Minersville spentMon-day spentMon-day with Clair and Helen ' Gillins. Al was down for a doctors appointment. After dinner they enjoyed a ride in the new Buick. Clariss and Max Price and mother, Mrs. Clara Bidgood, motored to Las Vegas for a fun weekend. A sister, sis-ter, Jerry, and husband, Wal-ly Wal-ly Croft of Walnut, California Califor-nia met them there and they all had fun at the Tropicanna. Claris said her arm got a little tired but she enjoyed it. Mrs. Bidgood visited a brother there. Toni watched the home and did the chores while her parents had fun. . Mrs. Georgia Beth Thompson and daughter from Cedar City spent Monday with father, George Smith. On Saturday Mr, and Mrs. Jerry Mayer and family visited vis-ited at Cedar City with sister, sis-ter, Karen, and husband Gary Leigh, and children. Jim and Margie Sherwood had their children, Linda and John Conway and their children, chil-dren, Derek and Lisha, from Tooele for New Years weekend. week-end. On December 29th Linda Lin-da was celebrating her birthday. |
