She was on the way to see her new grandson, Benjamin, and help Blanche for a week. She had originally planned on staying for two weeks, but Bud told her he could only get along without her for a week. Donna Corey and children brought her home from Salt Lake on Saturday . I haven't had a chance to get a report from her. Lani Johnson had a four-day four-day weekend starting the 7th. Two days of that were s pent in attendance at the UEA Convention inSaltLake- On Oct. 9th, the Garrison Garri-son Branch Elder's Quorum sponsored a shooting match out by Garrison Lake to give everyone a chance to get ready for hunting. There was some good shooting and everyone enjoyed them -selves. You see, I figured since there was no mall going out on Monday that I would gather all the news and write It up on Tuesday to go out then. Well, about 7:30 that morning morn-ing Lani Johnson came over to see if I could substitute. substi-tute. She had some of the flu going around, so that's what I did Instead of this. If anyone knows of a pro-crastinators pro-crastinators anonymous, let me know and I will join tomorrow. There were several people peo-ple out visiting on Monday, Oct. 4th. Cuma Goodwin from Milford was out here to see Arvilla Williams. Then she stopped to see us, but more particularly to see Chad. LaRue Rowley had Peggy Rowley, and Alan Anderson Ander-son and family from Orem dropped in on her at the store. Then Sunday, Oct. 10th, Cloy Broderlck and family from Tooele stopped to see her. Her brother, Henry, and his wife from Boulder City were visiting her Wednesday. ter, owned by Roger and Reed Carter and Mike White, was completely destroyed when it clipped a high voltage line. ' TWO SURVIVE: Roger Carter of Beaver and the pilot of this helicopter received only slight injuries when the copter crashed near Indian Creek last Friday. The cop- and James Wheeler 3rd. All three of them donated the prizes won back. The ladies just about out -shot the men. Pat Gonder won that competition with 26 out of 30 points. Jackpot shooting was done after that and Jett Carpenter won one and Darwin Wheeler another. anoth-er. Over the weekend of the 9th, Clark and Susan Graham Gra-ham had several visitors at the ir home. Clark's mother, two sisters, and children were there. The valley now has three more babies. I neglected to mention the birth of a. baby girl to Ron and Janene Eldridge of Baker. I don't get over there very often for news. Anyway, she was born the end of Sept. and everyone was very happy for them. On Oct. 10th, Pam and James Wheeler had a baby boy, Kyle James, weighing 6 lbs. 4 ozs. Then on Tuesday, Oct. 12, Clark and Susan Graham had a girl weighing 7 lbs. 12 oz. They had a hard time on the name, but they think it will be Hillary. On Monday and Tuesday, LaRue Rowley was in the Provo area taking care of business. She took granddaughter, grand-daughter, Fran, along with her for company. Owen and RaeAnne Gonder Gond-er had a father -daughter day in Provo on Tuesday. . -., ...... r. They both had dental appointments. ap-pointments. Carolyn Wheeler was in Salt Lake Tuesday and Wednesday Wed-nesday for the wedding of her very first companion in the mission field. I guess it turned out to be a regular regu-lar sisters conference. Clyde and Bertha Heath's daughter, Pamela, was married Friday in the Provo Pro-vo Temple. There was a reception for the couple in Ely on Saturday. Some of Pam Wheeler's family came to visit them Saturday. There were her mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Lathe! Callister, brother Lyndon, and sister sis-ter and family, Elizabeth, Tom and Maria Zaleski. At least two of the teenagers teen-agers didn't make it home over the weekend because of their participation in the Delta High musical, "The Sound of Music". Kathleen Gonder was a nun and Kirk Davies was involved with the music. Daisy and Emerson Gonder Gon-der went hunting this weekend. week-end. No one knows how much luck they had, though. There is another new couple at the Lehman Caves. They are Gary andMering Hurd. Gary is with the Park Service. They have come here from Flagstaff, Ariz. Roberta Conde attended a tea given by Janet Moore at Lehman Caves. The tea was to introduce the new ladies to the valley, so the guests of honor were Mer-ing Mer-ing Hurd, Stephani Baggosi and Mrs. Spanogle. Del and Helen Young are home. Helen suffered a stroke the first of April and has been in Salt Lake ever since. She became so homesick that Del brought her home, and it seems to be good therapy. It is really good to have them back. The Baker PTA Is having it's 2nd Annual Fundrai;;-ing Fundrai;;-ing Dinner on Friday, Oct. 29, 1976. Dinner will be served from 6:00 to 8:00 ' pjn. Pacific time in the I Baker Hall. All you can I eat. Adults -$3.00, 6-14 -$1.50, and children under 6, free. Everybody is welcome wel-come and they hope to see you all tyre.
