Show The Junior Varsity will play Monday at Dixie. Pep Club and cheerleaders cheerlead-ers traveled to Gunnison to attend a Marching Drill Team Clinic. The Girls Athletic Association As-sociation plays volleyball Wednesday night in the old gym at 7 p.m. Thursday evening there will be a Deer Hunters Ball at the Armory. Also, Thursday evening, at 7 p.m., there will be a general public State Road meeting in the auditorium on the proposed new highway high-way around Puffers Lake via Mt. Holly. Plan to attend at-tend and speak out for your ideas on this important project. Friday is Orange Day. With only minutes min-utes left to play, a Mil-. ford fumble was recovered recover-ed by James Lindsay on the 20. A penalty moved the ball to the 10 and on the 2nd down Mitch Oak-den Oak-den took the ball in 10 yards for the final TD of the game. Friday, an assembly was presented by the students, stu-dents, centered around the Friday night game with the Milford Tigers. Friday afternoon, af-ternoon, school was let out at 2 p.m. for the parade, participants were the 7th through 12th grades with floats, FHA, cheerleaders, B -Steps, Jr. and Sr. band, and Royalty Floats. Winners Win-ners of the float contest were: Senior class, 1st; Juniors, 2nd; 9th grade, 3rd. Best window decoration decora-tion went to: Seniors, 1st; cheerleaders, 2nd; and Juniors, 3rd. Homecoming royalty for 1976-77 are: King - Mitch Oakden; Queen - Becky Smith; first attendants are Roger Don Marshall and Carolyn Williams; second attendants, Steve Gillins and Penny Joseph. That evening the Beavers hosted the Milford Tigers, our last regular season game. The game was a defensive de-fensive battle with both teams hitting hard.Milford took the opening kickoff on the 20 yard line. The first play went 30 yards on a sideline sweep. On the second sec-ond play Gary Mayer took the ball untouched up the middle, 50 yards for the first TD of the game. The extra point was good. Mitch Oakden took the kickoff to the 40 yard line. After another first down, Oakden carried the ball 45 yards up the sideline. The ball was on the 15. On the 3rd down, Oakden carried the ball 10 yards on a sweep for the TD. The extra point was not good. Four minutes min-utes into the second quarter, quart-er, Steve Gillins handed off to Jeff Williams, the pass was intercepted. A series of fumbles followed and minutes later Oakden took the ball in from four yards out for the TD. The extra point attempt Was blocked. The halftime program was presented by the Beaver Beav-er B-Steps, dancing to the music "Swinging Safari". The routine was made up by Cindy Webster, Suzanne Bradshaw, Sandy Lessing and Debra Smith.
