Sam is not only recognized recog-nized for the part which he has played in the development develop-ment of the law, but also, and equally important, for dedicated service to his profession. pro-fession. When the Bar was integrated by Statute in 1931, Sam became a BarCommisl sioner, an office he held for many years, and is the sole survivor of the original board. For many years thereafter, Sam was the Bar delegate to the ABA and he has attended, either as a delegate or member primarily pri-marily at his own expense, virtually every annual meeting meet-ing of the American BarAs-sociation BarAs-sociation for more than 35 years. He has been chairman or member of numerous Utah Bar committees, including membership on the com-m com-m ittee which drafted the Utah Rules of Civil Procedure, adopted by the Supreme Court on January 1, 1950. On behalf of the Committee Commit-tee which unanimously nominated Sam for this honor, the Bar Commission, and more than 2400 members mem-bers of the Utah State Bar, it is my honor to publicly recognize at this annual meeting Sam Cline as the outstanding lawyer for this year."
