It will take the Tigers a little time to jell, most observers think, after losing seven seniors off the varsity varsi-ty squad last year. But when this team gets over its JV-ites, many think they can be as good or better than last year's team who lost only two games, one being the state 1-A championship. Milford's front line seems to be pretty well set with Smith, Randy KerrandMitch Bealer. Bealer had his problems prob-lems against Bryce Valley, hanging onto the ball but should shape up into an adequate ade-quate 64" big man. At guard, Nielsen has sophomore Gary Mayer, Junior Ju-nior Mark Nelson and seniors sen-iors Roger Barnes and Brian Edwards, all of which can expect heavy duty.Mayer and Barnes have started both games. Mayer looked sharp Friday, hitting 16 points, mostly 15-18 footers. Saturday, Satur-day, he was off the pace just a little. Barnes managed six and eight points respectively, Friday and Saturday. Saturday's problems at Bryce Valley were spelled turn-overs. The Tigers turned over the ball to the aggressive Mustangs time and again without getting a shot. And LeFevre, Ramsey and Twitchell were effectively effect-ively clearing the boards on Milford's offense, so they seldom got a second shot. The Mustangs were a good team last season and didn't lose a starter - however, an Idaho transfer did break (Continued on Page 2) Milford shot 58Tc from the field, 38 for 67, and 0 for 3 from the foul line.
