The Iso-Computron ' is a versatile, effective laboratory lab-oratory instrument for nu- clear medicine analysis. Al 1 of the equipment is compatible with other equipment equip-ment to expand laboratory facilities when finances are available and the need warrants, war-rants, Maxey said. Maxey also announced the Hospital Board had approved plans to add 620 square feet of administrative space to the hospital. The additional space will provide badly needed storage facilities, a new administrative administra-tive office, board room, office of-fice for Director of Nurses, new business office and supply sup-ply storage. It also will enclose the porch in glass which will act as a buffer to keep the cold wind from the waiting room and main part of the hospital. Milford patients will not have to wait several days for test results to return from upstate hospitals in most diagnostic tests at the Milford Mil-ford Valley Memorial Hospital, Hos-pital, as they have in the past, according to JohnMax-ey, JohnMax-ey, Administrator. The addition of approximately approxi-mately $3000 worth of new equipment will cut the wait to a few minutes, and the tests will be done right in the hospital laboratory. There are two pieces of equipment which do separate but similar functions. The largest is a Hitachi digital spectrophotometer which will handle most chemistry profiles which are now being sent to Salt Lake City. The other machine is a Nephelometer which is a cardiac diagnostic tool and will handle triglyceride tests. Compatible with this equipment is a $2600 machine ma-chine added at the Milford |
